ΓÇ£To increase BI adoption, we need to give business users the ability to serve themselves.ΓÇ¥ -- BBBT Founder, Claudia Imhoff.
Last month, the Boulder Business Intelligence Brain Trust (BBBT), the largest industry analyst consortium of its kind, hosted a briefing from Dundas Data Visualization on how Dundas BI enables the creation of BI applications tailored to each userΓÇÖs needs, and how it can be seamlessly embedded into any application.
The BBBT has served the BI industry since 2006. It is a consortium of over 190 industry analysts, experts, and practitioners from around the world. BBBT hosts BI industry vendors who provide extended, interactive briefings, streamed live as webinars exclusively to BBBT members.
We know that the definitions of user roles in BI has changed over the years. It started with IT as main content creators, it then moved to analysts and then more and more toward business users. There are a lot of products on the market which followed the immediate trend and focused on certain groups and on a certain set of use cases. However, less products understand that it is actually a blurred line and that there is a need to find the right balance between users and the overall BI use cases/needs. Each user group has competing BI needs.
ΓÇ£In most enterprises, BI adoption has languished at about 25% of potential business users. To increase BI adoption, we need to give business users the ability to serve themselves,ΓÇ¥ said BBBT Founder, Claudia Imhoff. ΓÇ£Dundas has focused much of its R&D efforts in enabling self-service BI, resulting in Dundas BI, an embeddable, self-service solution.ΓÇ¥
Dundas BI provides the level of access every user needs - from consumers to analysts, all the way to BI professionals, delivering advanced integrated BI solutions to the business.
