Wide-Ranging Data Binding
Support for a variety of data sources will ensure that your map-based applications can draw on existing data with ease - and you can freely mix and match all your data binding options. Dundas Map lets you associate map elements with multiple database columns for intelligent naming and classification. Additionally element behavior and appearance characteristics can also be loaded from external data in this way, further reducing development time.
Dundas Map supports three data binding options for your map content elements:
- Shapes - (any land mass like a country, region, lake, zip code, etc.) - if you're showing sales data, color your sales regions based on your revenue numbers. You simply choose/build a color range and Dundas Map fills in the colors for you.
- Symbols - (images) - if the database provides latitude and longitude, Dundas Map can load a symbol at that location and put it on screen. When the database changes, the map automatically updates, which shows the component's dynamic capabilities. Use GPS data to give you latitude and longitude data!
- Paths - (lines for routes) - the size, location and direction of paths can change, based on the data. The clarity they bring and the information they can contain allows for increased data depth in map controls.
All Dundas downloads are fully functional and do not timeout - they simply place a watermark on rendered images, allowing you to TRULY evaluate the product. So download a complete evaluation copy today!
