Dundas Chart Builder

Building Templates For Dundas Chart Has Never Been Easier!

Designed as a handy and robust editing tool for Dundas Chart, Chart Builder v3.5 is an innovative way for non-technical users (e.g., senior managers and graphic artists, etc.) to create charts/templates and then pass the results along to their developers.

Chart Builder is available within the Dundas Chart for ASP.NET and Windows Forms Enterprise installs and also available as a separate download. (But note: this isn't a standalone chart application, it's designed to create templates for Dundas Chart.)

Chart Builder is more than just a proof-of-concept tool.  Not only does it offer a simple drag-and-drop layout and the ability resize charts directly (also great for layout), some of its more notable features include:

  • Advanced exporting (directly to Reporting Services, ASP.NET, SharePoint, Windows Forms or an image!)
  • Drag and drop layout and annotations
  • Support for custom annotations
  • Data can be randomly generated (for reviewing charts)
  • Several data-binding methods offered (and generate data-binding code for use directly in your application)
  • XML code can be viewed directly in the program
  • A dynamic library of pre-built templates included

With Chart Builder, any Dundas Chart user can now create sophisticated chart visualization without coding skills or tools like Visual Studio.  Give it a try and have a look - your developers will thank you for the guidance!

Additional note: Users need the .NET framework installed, which is freely available.  Also note that charts built with Chart Builder utilizing Enterprise features will have conflicts when imported into the Professional Edition.  If you have questions about Enterprise features, click here.
