AJAX Interactivity
AJAX (asynchronous JavaScript and XML) is essentially a development technique that allows you to refresh part of a web page without having to refresh the entire page. This achieves a much cleaner refresh and improves the page's usability (adding some attractive enhancements).
With AJAX, Dundas Chart for .NET has built-in capabilities for you to add many exciting and useful functions to your charts, all without using postbacks. These include:
- toolbars
- context menus
- property dialogs
- zooming & scrolling
- highlighting
- drilldown
- real-time support
- and much more
In addition, you can write your own methods to handle events on the client-side using our existing architecture - and our Custom AJAX Interactivity feature gives you the power to write any custom interactive feature you desire.
(Note: AJAX features are available only for Visual Studio 2005 and 2008.)
