Position: Technical Evangelist

Position and Duties
This position requires a software developer with solid design/development
skills as well as the ability to listen and talk with potential clients with
confidence. The work mainly consists of working along with sales staff to build
relationships with potential clients and to figure out solutions to fill their
needs based on Dundas? data visualization product line. This includes talking
with clients by phone (and from time to time in person) listening to their needs
and being able to quickly come up with a practical and clear solution that will
fit their needs; answering their technical questions clearly and quickly; and
finally creating samples and solutions using Dundas products for the clients.
Other tasks include writing product samples and demonstrations to show our
clients how to get the most out of the Dundas product line.
This is a full-time position. Work would be done at our head office (Toronto,
Ontario, Canada); therefore any potential candidate must be eligible to work in
Canada (or in the process of obtaining a work visa).
Compensation
Dundas offers a compensation plan that is well above the industry standard.
This has allowed us to find and retain technical staff that is second to none.
Compensation is made up of several parts with two main components, base and
bonus. We provide highly competitive base salaries, plus we have an aggressive
profit sharing program. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package that
includes extended health, dental, drug, health club, disability, and more.
Base salary is based on productivity, quality, experience, and initiative.
Experience
- Must have a degree with a major in computer science and 2+ years practical experience or must have 4+ years practical experience
- 2 years+ Object Oriented Programming experience
- Some software design experience, including UI and usability
Required Skills
- Able to clearly convey concepts and ideas both spoken and in writing
- Ability to listen to and comprehend others needs and quickly figure out solutions to these needs
- Good relationship skills.
- Solid knowledge of .NET including ASP.NET
- Solid knowledge of C# (and some VB.NET)
- Good writing skills

- Must be willing to learn new skills on a regular basis, both on and off the job
- Must be able to work well within a team, yet be able to work autonomously
- Must be able to work in a company with an open and casual work environment (able to self-manage)
- Must have good attention to detail
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
