1. Overview

This article shows different ways to hide a column in a table visualization.

2. Using the Visible property

You can show or hide a table column by using its Visible property (excluding row header columns).

Click the column you want to hide until it appears with a dotted selection border.

Go to Properties and set the Visible property of the column to False.

The table column is now hidden. To make it visible again, click the column in Properties and set the Visible property back to True.

3. Using Bindings

You can hide a column in a table using the following method, but you can still use that column in filtering, state rules, etc.

3.1. Open Data Binding Panel

3.2. Edit Bindings

3.3. COLUMN

Under the COLUMN section, delete the column(s) you want to hide.

4. Using Scripting

You can hide or show a table column using a script as follows:

// To hide 1st column
table1.control.columns[0].isVisible = false;

// To show 1st column 
table1.control.columns[0].isVisible = true;

 To remove a table column entirely:

table1.removeColumnByIndex(0);
