Real-Time Gauges
Real-time data over the web is truly possible and easy to accomplish with Dundas Gauge.
Instead of just seeing a snapshot of real-time data, Dundas Gauge allows for the data to be viewed in real-time.

Real Time Circular Gauge |
Real Time Linear Gauge with Numeric Indicator |
Above are two examples of real-time gauges. One is updated once per second and the other once every two seconds. The method used above allows the gauges to be displayed within most browsers (including IE, Netscape, Opera, Mozilla, and others) and does not require .NET to be installed on the user's computer.
The gauges displayed above also include a timestamp that indicates when the image was generated on the server. This is important because:
- It is possible that a slow connection or other network issue could cause a slight delay.
- The timestamp ensures that any network issues can be easily detected by users, giving them added confidence in the data they are viewing.
The actual gauge is stored and runs on the server, where its data is continually updated. This method allows for a large number of users viewing the same gauge without much CPU usage.
