DUNDAS LAUNCHES UPDATED VERSION OF GAUGE FOR .NET
Latest Data Visualization Offering Boasts Many New Features - Including AJAX
April 17th, 2007 (Toronto) - Dundas Software, a world leader in data
visualization technologies, today announced the release of its
latest visual software component: Dundas Gauge for .NET Version 2.0.
Dundas Gauge is targeted on developers building sophisticated
digital dashboards as well as other applications (manufacturing,
financial, etc.) that require the real-time monitoring of key
performance indicators and other critical data. Version 2.0 is
available for both ASP.NET and Windows Forms.
Based on the popular Version 1.6, Dundas Gauge for .NET Version 2.0
has been upgraded extensively to reflect the evolving requirements
of Dundas customers. This includes robust and industry-leading AJAX
(Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) integration, plus performance
improvements for WinForms control and other broad enhancements.
"We're delighted to now offer support for AJAX click and callback
events, which allows developers the ability to update their gauges
at the client without postbacks," explained Troy Marchand, President
of Dundas Software. "And our new Callback Manager allows them to
execute JavaScript on the client, or update other controls on the
page, without having to refresh the entire page. This is a
tremendous move forward for Gauge customers."
Other highlights include new frame styles (which are more visually
appealing and offer more customization options) and innovative
augmentations to the Wizard, sample library and color schemes.
Dundas Gauge for .NET Version 2.0 can be purchased for $699 (US)
from the Dundas website (www.dundas.com).
